The Netherlands

A constitutional monarchy, located in northwestern Europe on the North Sea; achieved independence from Spain in 1579; half the country lies below sea level; the country is the European part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which is formed by the Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba.
